How long have you been at Deerfield?

I have been working at Deerfield for 6 months.

What made you choose Deerfield?

The opportunity to combine sustainability and global citizenship within myr role as Associate Director of the CSGC.

What is a hobby of yours that not many people know about?

My family has been playing UNO as our winter go-to activity.

What is a global issue that you deeply care about?

I deeply care about climate change as a social justice issue, specifically helping students and communities feel connected to the places in which they live in the world, as connection helps make an issue feel real.

If you won the lottery, what is the first thing you would do?

I would pour that money into transforming a desolate community center and work to revitalize the community by funding innovative nonprofits, community gardens, and helping local people thrive.

What would your spirit animal be?

Whenever I have seen any type of whale in the wild, I have this really strong emotional reaction. Seeing them deeply impacts me, but I have no explanation for it.

Best book or author?

“The Man Who Planted Trees” is my favorite book as it discusses how one person with patience and perseverance can make an impact that is magnified over time.
