On Saturday, April 26th, the Deerfield Math Club hosted its Eighth annual Deerfield Math Competition (DMC). The DMC, modeled after the Harvard-MIT Mathematics Tournament, invited students from surrounding middle schools to compete in a series of student-written math problems across four sections: Individual Theme, Individual Relay, Team General, and Team Guts.
On Wednesday, May 7, incumbent student body president
Billy Tang ’25 announced Patrick Zhang ’26 as
his successor to a cheering crowd, despite many
of his supporters and the winner himself being
absent due to the concurrent AP English Literature
and Composition exam. Similar to previous student
council elections, no candidate secured a majority of
votes within the first round of voting.

From Deerfield to the NFL: Elic Ayomanor ’22
Deerfield alumnus Elic Ayomanor ’22 was drafted by the Tennessee Ti- tans in the fourth round of the 2025 National Football League draft on April 26. Previously, he played for the Stanford Cardinals.
