Deerfield Produces Promotional Video for the MET
From October 14 to 16 of this year, Deerfield Academy partnered with LoneSpruce, a videography and creative studio, to produce a promotional video for the Academy’s upcoming 2026 fundraising campaign. Charlie Kirk Assassination Leads to Open Table About Free Speech
On September 10, media personality Charlie Kirk, 31, was assassinated while speaking at an event at Utah Valley University. Following his assassination, Deerfield students met with one another in an Open Table discussion in order to understand and examine Kirk’s death. Kirk began his involvement in the Republican party at 18, and his career included co-founding Turning Point USA, an organization advocating for conservative ideals. Faculty Experiment with “AI Playground” at Summer Workshop
After the 2024-2025 school year concluded, faculty gathered in June for a 3-day workshop on the usage and integration of artificial intelligence in a classroom setting. Academy Implements Firmer “HealthyUse Policy for Cellphones” on Campus
Seeking to improve student mental health and in person interactions, the Student Life Office (SLO) is implementing a new cell phone policy that restricts phone usage during the day.
